Declaration of War
There wasn't a cloud in the sky this morning. Birds glided through the air as though the ground didn't even exist. The cherry blossom trees rustled audibly as the wind blew softly through their branches. You watched as the pink petals gracefully floated through the air before landing gently onto the ground. Beautiful... you thought. If only it didn't make such a mess. You laughed a little to yourself.
“Oh well,” you breathed as you swept up the petals with a broom and dustpan. You took pride in your volunteer work. Nothing more satisfying than a job well done.
